Dutch financial group NN announced on Monday a strategic review of its options for the future of its asset management subsidiary NN Investment Partners (NN IP). The company is considering either a merger, joint venture, or (partial) divestment of its €300bn asset management business, of which half assets are run for its parent company.
The review is part of NN’s regular and thorough assessment of its individual businesses, in line with our aim to pursue long-term value creation that is beneficial to all stakeholders, the group said in a statement.
The group specified the review aims “at assessing the opportunities to create a broader platform to enable NN IP to accelerate its growth.”
