US oldest honor society becomes UN PRI signatory

On 9 December 2019, the US oldest academic honor society Phi Beta Kappa joined the 485 other asset owners signatories of the United Nations principles for responsible investment (UN PRI), Asset News observes.

Founded in 1776 with a mission of championing education in liberal arts and sciences and recognising academic excellence through various programs, the Phi Beta Kappa society (ΦBK) tallies a number of renowned members. The roster includes 17 US presidents, including Bill Clinton, George Bush and Jimmy Carter, as well as more than 140 Nobel laureates.
