The Spanish fund distribution platform on Thursday announced a strategic partnership with the New York-headquartered alternatives fintech.

Allfunds will enhance the access of its clients to private markets investment opportunities through its strategic partnership reached with iCapital Network.

ICapital is a US fintech whose platform eases high-net-worth individuals’ access to a selection of private market strategies (private equity, private debt, and real assets) from diverse managers based in various geographies and with lower minimum investment levels.

As of end April 2021, iCapital tallied 400 employees based in New York, Zurich, London, Lisbon and Hong Kong. It serviced $75bn in global client assets across more than 750 funds.

The private market funds will be available through Allfunds Connect to Allfunds distributors, including major commercial and private banks, from over 60 different countries. Under the terms of the deal, Allfunds Connect will integrate iCapital’s digital technology solution automating the subscription and client servicing processes of alternative investing during the full investment lifecycle.

“This partnership with iCapital is demonstrative of our commitment to expand our product offering into private markets with best-of-breed third-party solutions for our Allfunds Connect clients and to continue optimizing fund distribution. iCapital’s technology ensures a superior digital client experience when investing in this increasingly important asset class,” commented Juan Alcaraz, CEO of Allfunds, which has over €1.3trn in assets under administration and provide access to 100,000+ funds from more than 1,960 fund houses.

Said Lawrence Calcano, chairman and CEO of iCapital Network, “This partnership is emblematic of the great strides iCapital has made to provide better access, efficiency and transparency for the global wealth management industry which is increasingly seeking private market investing strategies for clients.”
