Exclusive: Millennium Global establishes European base in Paris
London-headquartered currency management specialist Millennium Global Investments, has set up its European base in Paris, Asset News can reveal.
The company's branch, called Millennium Global (Europe), has been registered on 29 March in the French trade and companies register. Located rue Mermoz in Paris' eighth district and chaired by Millennium Global's chairman Michael Huttman, the European branch is led by CEO Alexandre Potin.
The activity of the company deals with the management of collective investment funds that are either domiciled in France or elsewhere and also with financial research.
Millennium Global (Europe) has applied for an asset management license from French financial market regulator AMF and will obtain it soon, according to information gathered by Asset News.
Parent company Millennium Global had won a €2bn currency management mandate from the French public sector additional pension scheme Erafp last year.
More recently, at the start of March, BNP Paribas had launched an investible index tracking the performance of Millennium Global's systematic currency alpha strategy.
In addition to London and Paris, the currency management specialist has offices in Wilmington, Delaware in the United States as well as in Tokyo.
