Arabesque takes over worldwide ESG database
German sustainable metrics and data provider Arabesque has been transferred The Reporting Exchange, which shelters the database of the corporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) database of the World Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD). That with a view “to leverage the newest technological and data intelligence advances,” according to a statement.
The database, launched in 2017, contains over 2,000 mandatory and voluntary ESG reporting requirements and resources from across more than 70 countries. It is understood The Reporting Exchange will continue to provide a free user-friendly database to search and understand ESG reporting requirements and indicators.
Andrew Beanland, director in redefining value, WBCSD, said: “The Reporting Exchange is a vital piece of the puzzle for both companies, investors and policy makers in understanding and navigating the complexity of the ESG reporting landscape.
