Bank of England to tighten norms for non-bank financial sector

In a letter to the Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak, Bank of England’s Governor Andrew Bailey underlined the importance of effectively monitoring and acting to ensure stability of the non-bank financial sector.

As the Chair of the Financial Policy Committee (FPC), Bailey concurred that the role of the non-bank financial sector in the supply of finance to the economy has grown since the global financial crisis.
