China will issue euro-denominated bonds
China has mandated 11 banks to conduct a multi-tranche sovereign issue in euros this week. It is expected to have three tranches – five, 10 and 15 years – according to Bloomberg. One year ago, China had returned to this market after a 15-year absence. The deal is expected to be launched no earlier than Wednesday 18 November “depending on market conditions.” Bank of China, Bank of Communications, China International Capital Corporation, BofA Securities, Crédit Agricole, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, JPMorgan, Societe Générale and Standard Chartered Bank were mandated by China for this issue.
