Italy's Coronavirus outbreak hurts global markets

The Coronavirus outbreak in Italy sent European markets on a chute on February 24, raising fresh fears of the financial impact in the continent.

As Coronavirus cases in Italy jumped beyond 200 with a death toll of five, the stock markets slumped sharply. The Euro Stoxx 50 and the German DAX index dropped by 4%, while the FTSE 100 and CAC 40 dropped by more than 3%.
