Robeco bolsters climate efforts with hire
Rotterdam-headquartered asset manager Robeco has appointed Lucian Peppelenbos as climate strategist within its sustainable investment unit, effective today.
This newly created role will lead Peppelenbos to develop and enhance Robeco and RobecoSAM’s climate change strategy in addition to chairing the Dutch firm's climate change task force. He will also be involved in lowering the carbon footprint of Robeco’s investments, transitioning to a lower carbon economy.
Previously, Peppelenbos worked at APG Asset Management as senior responsible investment and governance specialist, responsible for ESG integration in investment portfolios and engagement with investee companies with a focus on climate change.
Robeco’s sustainable investment center relies on four pillars: SI thought leadership, SI client portfolio management, SI research, and active ownership. The team is led by Carola van Lamoen, who holds the role of head of active ownership as well.
