Becker will take on the new responsibilities from 21 April 2021, when the next General Assembly is scheduled. During the Assembly, Robert Scharfe, the current CEO, will step down after nine years of heading the exchange.

Becker specialises in regulatory and legal matters linked to capital markets. She joined the Luxembourg Stock Exchange in July 2013 and was appointed to the Executive Committee merely two years later. Becker was then appointed deputy CEO of LuxSE on December 2019. An expert in sustainable finance, she founded the Luxembourg Green Exchange (LGX) in 2016 to facilitate sustainable investment worldwide and is also a part of the EU High-Level Expert Group on Sustainable Finance from 2016-2018. Becker is also the chair of the LuxCMA, an industry association dedicated to Luxembourg’s capital markets.

Additionally, Arnaud Delestienne, who joined the exchange in September this year as director of international capital markets, has been appointed as a member of the Executive Committee of LuxSE from 1 January 2020.
