New EMEA distribution head at Columbia Threadneedle
British asset manager Columbia Threadneedle Investments has appointed Michaela Collet Jackson as head of distribution for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region effective 22 March. She will be responsible for leading Columbia Threadneedle’s regional sales and client service functions across wholesale, institutional and insurance channels. She will report to Nick Ring, CEO EMEA, and join the firm’s regional leadership team and primary governance bodies.
Collet Jackson previously worked BlackRock as a managing director, deputy chief operation officer EMEA Distribution. She started her career at Barclays Global Investors (BGI) in 2005 before the entity was purchased by BlackRock in 2009. Collet Jackson held a number of distribution roles including iShares business development lead for international and private banks in the UK and Switzerland, sales director for the Nordic institutional business, head of Nordic retail and head of solutions & partnerships for EMEA retail.
Columbia Threadneedle, part of Ameriprise Financial Group, managed €425bn assets as at 30 September 2020.
