Pictet Group appoints pair of new managing partners

With the appointment of Elif Aktuğ and François Pictet as managing partners, the Pictet Group will now have nine partners in total.

Elif Aktuğ has worked at Pictet since 2011 as lead manager of the Agora fund focusing on European equities with €2.5bn assets under management (AuM). She is also an equity partner in the Group and has significantly contributed to diversity and inclusion issues, such as founding the Pictet Women’s Network. Prior to this, she was the managing director at Goldman Sachs, active in M&A advisory and proprietary trading.  She is the first female managing partner at Pictet.

François Pictet joined the group in 2015 as an associate in the Pictet Investment Office (PIO), the investment unit of the wealth management business. Specialising in management of very large private assets, François had CHF 23bn under management. At PIO, François is responsible for the management of private equity investment portfolio, supervision of multi-asset portfolios for several clients and the Geneva department. Before this, he worked for AEA Investors, a private equity firm in London, UK, where he was responsible for due diligence on investment opportunities, company valuations and portfolio monitoring. Prior to that, he was engaged in M&A advisory at Credit Suisse in Zurich and worked for two NGOs specialising in microfinance and socially responsible investment.
