Esma tightens short-selling rules to calm markets

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) lowered the threshold for reporting short selling of stocks to regulators.

ESMA has decided to lower the reporting threshold, requiring managers to inform national regulators if the position reaches or exceeds 0.1% of the issued share capital.
