European supervisory authorities (EBA, Eiopa, Esma) are seeking feedback on the layout of three illustrative mock-ups that consist of product templates promoting funds with environmental and/or social features or that pursue a sustainable objective. The consultation will close on 16 October. The ESAs propose to standardise the disclosure of information for environmental and social-focused financial products.

The layout of the templates reflects draft regulatory technical standards from the public consultation on the sustainable finance disclosure regulation which ended on 1 September 2020. In the ESAs' view, the use of such mandatory templates will improve comparability of different financial products in different EU Member States and are intended to be included in existing disclosures provided by alternative investment fund managers (AIFMs), undertakings for collective investment in transferable securities (UCITSs), insurance undertakings, institutions for occupational retirement provision (IORPs) or providers of pan-European personal pensions products (PEPPs).
